Literally meaning ‘rich coast’ in Spanish, Costa Rica has a wealth of
natural diversity and wildlife, making it one of the most bio-diverse
places on
earth. Costa Rica is home to around 5% of the world’s biodiversity. Costa
Rica is also home to a number of rare and endangered plant and animal
species as well. Iguanas are everywhere. You’ll also find raccoons, huge-shelled
crabs, sea turtles (leatherback, hawksbill, olive ridley and green), resplendent
quetzals, fer-de-lance vipers, scarlet macaws and the West Indian manatee
are just some of the many wildlife species you will encounter here.

If you’re looking for adventure, you can go whitewater rafting, take
a canopy tour, ride a catamaran, go snorkeling, or drive a couple of hours
to see a live volcano! Discover the dramatic shifts of climate through
each layer of the rain forest. Feel the temperature change from minute
to minute and watch the vegetarian levels change at each level.

Take a
short drive down to the Manual Antonio National Park. Spend a day there
and enjoy the beautiful white-sand beaches and blue water.
Sample the pottery being sold by the locals. Pristine beaches, wildlife
tours,
sport fishing, fine cuisine and unforgettable sunsets are all available
to be enjoyed at your leisure.
